taspers, oh taspers
who knows how long it will be before anyone reads this? dear taspers: I have run away to the Amazon and am living and working among the Yanomami in support of their efforts to bring on a second ice age. so far we have constructed a giant laser, but it doesn't work because we can't find a place from which to fire it. also it's out of batteries. the twins are doing fine, and soon they'll have a baby brother if everything turns out all right. I'm thinking of accepting the position at cambridge, but my publisher is pressuring me to go on a promotion tour in australia; wallabies are an increasingly important segment of the target demographic. I hope to see you all soon. please write to me care of L.L. Nunn, 217 West Avenue, Ithaca, New York. on second thought, just put your letter in a red balloon and release it in a northwesterly wind. I miss and love you all, and every tasper I am reunited with (physically or internetically) inspires and humbles me with his or her amazingness. hope you're all well, and stay away from the poles.
love,
linda
